Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie is a nutrition-packed smoothie that is perfect to fuel your morning for breakfast or a quick mid-day snack!
Okay, don’t hate me for posting a pumpkin recipe before September, but I just can’t help myself! I’ve been testing pumpkin recipes for weeks now and I just couldn’t wait any longer. While I also have some pumpkin oat balls and pumpkin oat cups coming for you soon, I am SUPER excited to share this pumpkin pie oatmeal smoothie recipe with you!
Lars loves smoothies and asks for them almost daily. I’m always happy to oblige because I can always pack them full of fruit, some veggies, and protein, which always feels like a mom-win. While my go-to smoothie for him is something with berries, I wanted to switch it up with a fall-inspired smoothie. That’s how this Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie was created!
Ingredients in Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie
Pumpkin – Of course there’s pumpkin in this smoothie! Pumpkin is full of vitamin A and antioxidants.
Old Fashioned Oats – Oats are a great source of fiber and help bulk up this smoothie.
Greek Yogurt – I used whole milk vanilla Greek yogurt, which added a bit of sweetness, flavor, and protein.
Milk – You can use whatever kind you prefer, but we used whole milk. I also love using unsweetened almond milk in smoothies!
Frozen Banana – This is my favorite trick to adding the cold and thickness to a smoothie without having ice chunks. Frozen bananas keep the smoothie super creamy!
Pumpkin Pie Spices – A mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger!
I wasn’t sure if Soren would like it, as he’s always been averse to anything to drink other than milk or water and has never been a fan of yogurt, but he loved it! He took a big drink and went “Mmmm!” Lars was also a huge fan and drank his whole smoothie in a matter of a couple of minutes.
This Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Smoothie will definitely be a staple in our fall breakfast and snack rotation!
